I am a natural light photographer, so almost all my portrait sessions are done outside in the natural light. Light during the middle of the day is coming from directly overhead and is harsh, therefore not the best light for outdoor shoots. I only book sessions after mid-afternoon, in the last 3 hours of the day or early in the morning. The closer the sun is towards setting or rising the better the light is and the more beautiful the result I will create. That being said I can and have worked with all kinds of lights to make them a bit more magic than they seem!
You can choose the location, preferably local to Singleton (NSW Australia). There are extra costs associated with travel to other locations, we can discuss at time of booking. Some locations I use are Nowlan Park, Allan Bull Reserve and Rose Point, I can also come to your house/property. Singleton Showground is another location but I have to book it. Wineries are often happy for you to come out and get your photos done there, and you can go and do a wine tasting at the cellar door beforehand and make a day of it. Locations outside of singleton will involve extra travel costs, but all the ones you can see on the map above are local and lovely different locations. Some might not be suitable for young children though.
20% off if everyone being photographed is happy to sign model release forms. + you get EXTRA photos. The model release forms will allow me to resell the photographs, which I primarily do through Austockphoto. Photos on Austockphoto are available for anyone to purchase.

Each package lists specifics but overall you get the experience of a professional photographer with quality gear, your photo shoot, professional editing, and then high resolution images in JPG format, with full printing rights. You get full printing rights along with the photos so you can pick your favourites to print, and please do print them, because digital files get lost, USBs and disks can get lost or damaged and soon enough we won’t be using that technology, so get hard copies! I keep copies of all the edited files for at least two years. So if yours go missing in that time I will still be able to help!
If you are happy for me to display a few of your photos on my website, and Facebook that would be great but if you would rather keep a low profile online I will not put any of them up, just let me know. Carefully selected accessories make you stand out; scarves, belts, hair accessories and jewellery all add texture to the photo.
Your family photos will look better if there is some colour coordination. But not with everyone wearing the exact same shade of colour. Choose a theme, about three colours or try to pick a similar shade, but different colours or you could go for all different shades of blue except for one person. Have a look around online or in my portfolio for some inspo! Please don’t wear clothing with words on it as words will distract the focus away from you. People will look at the photo and naturally start reading them, instead of looking at you.
I want you to look your best and with attention drawn to your face not anywhere else. Because I take photos from various angles and with you in different positions (like lying on the ground) so ladies I recommend considering how your neckline will look in photos and be aware of your hemline too! Elegance looks great in a photo. Layering is always a nice effect, though is not easy if the season is too hot. Photos that have too much bare legs and arms can really distract the eyes away from your beautiful face. So think about what people will see. I want you to look your best!
Newborn sessions come with more flexibility so if your little one arrives earlier or later I will fit your session in!
