The first christening/baptism I photographed was my little cousin down in Adelaide. The second, this beautiful little girl. Three children were being christened that day, in the beautiful, St Patrick’s Church here in Singleton. We took some photos beforehand on the still damp grass of early morning. Then came the Mass and the christenings. This little one tried to grab at the dancing flame of her candle that had just been lit by her father from the tall candle.

Afterwards, I got photos of the little one with the grandparents, godparents, friends and of course her parents. I was quite glad we had got a number of shots of her brother before hand, for by the end he could no longer sit still. Not that he was inclined to at the beginning. The cloudy day made the light nice and diffuse outside, though it did make the inside of the church building much darker.
